Rhône Wine Festival

Back once again for the renegade master, the Rhône Wine Festival is returning for another month of cracking events taking place in some of the most exciting restaurants, wine bars, wine shops, independent merchants and supermarkets across London.

Every venue taking part will be celebrating the diversity of the Côtes du Rhône wine region through bespoke experiences and events dedicated to Côtes du Rhône wines. It's the sort of month-long event series that's perfect for wine connoisseurs and newbies alike.

Dinner and Côtes du Rhône natural wine pairing

La Despensa

When?

17 October; 18:30-21:30

Spitalfield's La Despensa is joining forces with Côtes du Rhône wines to create a three-course French feast and wine pairing. Head chef Craig Johnson has worked out a menu inspired by the Southern French region of Côtes du Rhône, with each course coming paired with a  wine curated by biodynamic and natural wine importer Dynamic Wines. Wine also by the bottle will be available to purchase on the night too.

Two Lights

23 October; from 17:30

Côtes du Rhône is taking over the whole wine list at modern American restaurant Two Lights. Get on down there to sample some simply ace bottles of red and white.

Côtes du Rhône seasonal feast

24 October; from 18:00

A screening of Éric Rohmer's vino-movie 'Autumn Tale' will be followed by a four-course dinner curated by chef and food writer Anna Barnett, and a tasting of four unique Côte du Rhône wines selected specifically for the occasion by sommelier and founder of VinaLupa, Emily Harman.

Le Coq Épicier

25 October; from 19:00

A range of Côtes du Rhône wines will be put under the spotlights at Camden Passage's little French deli with a special wine tasting, led by Jean-Charles Adam of The French Wine Project taking place on 25 October. Options at the deli include Côtes du Rhône gift boxes as well as Côtes du Rhône wines by the glass.

Dj Set Disco / DeepHouse

Where?

The French Corner at Mercato Metropolitano

When?

26 October; 20:30-23:15 

Head down to The French Corner for a live DJ set from DJ Danandout. All, of course, while enjoying Maldon oysters, rosette de Lyon and a glass of Côtes Rhône wine. As for what'll be going into your ears, you can expect anything from nu-disco to house and afro-edits.
