Deep in the heart of Wessex, where landscape and legend intertwine, and character and curiosity are around every corner, lies Godminster.

Born in Bruton, Godminster brings the spirit of the West Country to the cheeseboard. Every truckle tells a tale – of myth and mystery, taste and tradition – made hand in hand with the land.

The cheesemaker's mission is to be at the heart of the cheeseboard of life. Why? Because a cheeseboard is a centrepiece that brings people together around the table, and it’s got something for everyone to enjoy, just the way they like it.

Godminster source its deliciously creamy organic milk from its own herd – the ‘Godminster Girls’ – and from other brilliant British organic dairy farmers who share the team's sustainable and regenerative ethos. Godminster’s mantra is, “Nature repays those who treat her kindly", believing that through organic farming, we can create a self-sustaining environment where nature can regenerate and flourish.

Since Godminster Farm started, the team have planted more than 25,000 broadleaf trees to foster diverse habitats across the farm, resulting in a visible increase in the wildlife population. There are now 15 ponds encouraging biodiversity and reeds that cleanse the ground water. This led to Godminster being awarded Best Organic Farm (over 10 hectares) at the BOOM Awards in 2021.

Fancy tasting the difference yourself? We are giving three lucky readers the chance to win a Godminster Born in Bruton gift box.
