On a scale of one to ten, when cinematic projection was first conceived, do you reckon the people behind it ever imagined that it'd be used to tour contemporary vineyards in Argentina? Nah, you're right, probably not. But we're pretty pleased about this one, because Barullo's immersive pop-up sounds off-the-charts cool. Head to Victoria House Basement for a hands-on lesson in New World wine and late-night deep house session, led by the Ned's DJ Guille Bones. Mendoza's award-winning winery chef Lucas Bustos will on hand with an Argentine feast and, if you like what you see, you can even pick up a bottle of your favourite tipple from the bottle shop. Tickets are £48 each and include two full glasses of your choice, plus unlimited samples. Additional wine available for purchase by the glass and bottle.

If you thought rum was still native to the Caribbean, then get ready because this festival is about to prove you wrong. These days it's all about Japan, India and South Africa's take on the dark stuff. Don't believe us? Head on to Earl's court and try a dram or two for yourself at the world's premium rum fair. Of course, the cocktails will be flowing, but that's not the only thing going on: from a Rococo chocolate and rum pairing workshop to JJ Fox's cigar emporium, there's something for everyone at RumFest's annual gathering.

One tequila, two tequila, three… and onto the mescal we go. On the weekend of 7 October, catch us in the heart of Shoreditch getting to know Mexico's favourite spirits by way of this huge drinks festival in the Old Truman Brewery. More than 50 varieties of agave-based spirits, including rare samples of sotols, raicillas and bacanoras, will be on offer and you'll get to rub shoulders with some of the country's best producers. It's not all about the drinking – sorry, sampling – though, Temper, Café Pacifico and Barrio will be talking (and serving) tacos all day.

Get a taste of Greece without even the capital at the Greek Wine Festival – a two day pop-up wholly dedicated to the sweet ambrosia that is Greek wine in King's Cross canopy market by Theodore Kyriakou and the team at The Greek Larder. Take part in a wine walk, learn to pair sparkling wine with meze and get to know the story behind the modern vineyards of the Aegean and Ionian islands. But if you're not in it for the vino, there'll also be some traditional Greek dancing, a live filo pie theatre (yes, such a thing exists) and the Greek Larder's spit roast lamb on the go.
