Preparation time 20 minutes
Don’t fill up on turkey and stuffing; there’s always more. With hints of allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, this is as Christmassy as cheesecakes come – who said Christmas had to be all about mince pies? It’s one of our favourite Christmas recipes, and you’re sure to love it. Pure indulgence.
Ingredients
Biscuit base
300g digestive biscuits
150g unsalted butter
Cheesecake filling
750g full-fat cream cheese
75–100g Christmas Hot Chocolate
300ml double cream
Decoration
150ml double cream
2 tbsp icing sugar
1 Flake, crushed
Mini Marshmallows
Method
For the biscuit base
Blitz the biscuits to a fine crumb in a food processor, or in a bowl with the end of a rolling pin.
Melt the butter, mix in with the biscuits and press into the bottom of an 8” cake tin.
For the cheesecake filling
Pop the cream cheese and Christmas Hot Chocolate powder in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
Add the double cream and whisk again until thick.
Spread the mixture over the biscuit base, and set in the fridge for a minimum of 5–6 hours – but preferably overnight.
For the decoration
Whip together the double cream and icing sugar (the sugar helps to stabilise the cream) and pipe over the cheesecake.
Top with a sprinkle of crushed Flake and a handful of Mini Marshmallows.

The countdown to Christmas is all about decorating your home and making it feel Christmassy. Our super simple gingerbread decoration recipe is one of our favourite activities - which kids love too. Perfect for hanging on trees or just as festive biscuits to have with your favourite cup of Whittard.
Ingredients
360g plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp Whittard Gingerbread Hot Chocolate
1 tsp ground cinnamon
125g unsalted butter
175g light soft brown sugar
1 large egg
4 tbsp golden syrup
250g icing sugar (+ 40ml water)
Method
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, hot chocolate powder, ginger, and cinnamon. Add the softened butter and mix until it resembles breadcrumbs, then add the sugar and mix until it’s all combined.
Beat the egg and golden syrup together and then add them to the mixture and stir until it starts to clump into a dough. Tip the dough out onto a surface and knead it into a smooth ball before wrapping it in cling film and leaving it to chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
When the dough is finished chilling, roll it out on a floured surface until it’s about half a cm thick. Using cookie cutters, cut out your shapes and place them on a lined baking tray, leaving a gap between each biscuit. Place the trays in the fridge to chill for 30-60 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 160°C Fan. Then put your chilled biscuits in the oven and bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
Leave the biscuits to cool completely before icing/decorating. For the icing, whisk together the icing sugar and water until soft, then get creative!
