Event Details
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in late February, the UK hospitality industry has rallied together, pledging donations, hosting fundraising events and setting up initiatives such as Cook for Ukraine.
Three months later and businesses are still doing what they can to help, with some of the industry's biggest names turning their hands to support. The latest in this long line is Jason Atherton, who is hosting a supper club at his restaurant City Social, famed for its sweeping views of the city, and which has long held a Michelin star for its thoughtful and creative tasting menus.
Taking place on 27 June, this one-off dinner in association with Restaurant Associates will see a stellar lineup of chefs including Ukrainian chef Yurii Kovryzhenko don their aprons to cook up a four course meal, with all proceeds donated to WITH Ukraine and the Usyk Foundation. During dinner a charity auction will take place, with prizes from Thom Sweeney, Oleksandr Usyk and The Bonnie Badger.
The response to the invasion from the hospitality industry is a cause close to Atherton's heart. "The situation in the Ukraine is utterly heartbreaking and although I can't change this, I really wanted to be able to support where possible," he says. "My team, friends and suppliers have all joined forces to provide an evening to remember and I hope collectively we can make a difference to those who need it most."
The evening will start at 7pm and tickets are priced at £500 per person. To book, call +44 20 7290 7600 or email assi@thesocialcompany.co.uk
