Where there’s food, there’s fun – or so goes our motto. Luckily (for us, at least), this is exactly what Summer Street Food Festival is all about. Pitching up shop in a repurposed warehouse, East London’s newest microfestival will see KERB and Street Child partner up to bring together the best of London’s street food and the hottest alt soul vocals to create a delicious medley of entertainment. A selection of free food and drink from the likes of Club Mexicana, Prairie Fire BBQ and South East Cakery are included in the price of your ticket, and the silent disco will be, er, pumping well into the night. What’s more, money raised from the event will go towards Street Child’s efforts in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria and Nepal, where the charity is working to help the world’s most vulnerable children into education. You know what they say: eating is good, but eating for a cause is even better.
It seems that Brockwell Park is the place to be this summer, as it's hosting another knock-out day party in the form of Sunfall on 12 August. It's only the festival's second year, but it looks let to smash it once again. There'll be plenty of electronic music from Romare (yes), Theo Parrish (yes) and Floating Points (double yes), and there'll be a 'Knowledge Arena' where you'll be able to check out talks, Q&As and production demos.

Wilderness festival is one of the highlights of the foodie calendar, but if you can't make it all the way out to Oxfordshire, Citadel festival in London's Victoria Park instead. It's being organised by the same people, which means you can expect a whole host of food-related fun, whether it's the finest street food from the likes of Patty & Bun, Bubble Dogs, Anna Mae's Mac to the Future and more; plus bevs from Sharp's Brewery, Mr Prosecco, and Smirnoff's bloody marys, and something that, in our humble opinion, should be mandatory at all summer festivals: a gin and tonic bar provided by Fever Tree. The music line up looks pretty damn good too – Foals, Laura Marling, Wild Beasts and a live set from Bonobo are just a few of our picks.
We can't think of a better space for a London festival than Blackheath Common, if not for the views, then for its proximity to Greenwich's Meantime brewery, which'll be providing the beer for the event. Elsewhere, there'll be masterclasses from your favourite chefs and celebrity guests in a dedicated studio, as well as festival food from some of London's best restaurants and traders. And there's a banging music line up, too, whatever you fancy – head here to catch The Libertines, Metronomy, De La Soul, and Craig Charles, among others.
