Just in time for Christmas, bar mogul Drake & Morgan pops up with a couple of a couple of crackers (sorry). Created by its drink expert Chris Edwards, Fig Old Fashioned is a heady, spicey rum and orange number while Santa's Milk & Cookies is an absolute dessert of a cocktail with milk, cream and spiced rum, served with cookies.
Fig Old Fashioned
· 50ml Chairman’s spiced rum
· 1 muddled fig
· 1 brown sugar cube
· 5ml homemade cinnamon sugar syrup
· 1 orange peel
Stir all the ingredients over ice until the sugar has dissolved and serve in a crystal glass. Then garnish with fig slices on an absinthe spoon adorned with star anise and cinnamon.
Santa's Milk & Cookies
· 50ml Chairman's spiced rum
· 25ml double cream
· 75ml whole milk
· 35ml golden syrup
Shake hard and strain over ice in a crystal highball with cookies on the side.
