With the World's 50 Best Restaurants awards coming to London in July, the city's restaurateurs are putting on a whole host of special events to celebrate the event. Among these is Rafael Cagali, the Brazilian chef behind London's two-Michelin-starred Da Terra in Bethnal Green.

Paying homage to his Brazilian roots and the flavours these influence in his cooking at Da Terra, Cagali is collaborating with the husband-and-wife duo Janaina and Jefferson Rueda of São Paulo's A Casa do Porco – which currently sits at 17 on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list – for a one-off meal that celebrates the width and breadth of Brazilian fine dining.

With the name directly translating to 'house of the pig', it should come as no surprise that the philosophy at A Casa do Porco revolves around celebrating the pig in all its forms. The Rueda's have their own farm and slaughterhouse in São José do Rio Pardo where they rear pigs on a diet of whey and vegetables, and then make use of every element of the animal in a collection of dishes that pull on Brazilian and international influences, ranging from pork sushi to blood sausage and crispy pork belly.

Forget the 12-hour flight to São Paulo and ensuing jet lag and get a taste of the Brazilian restaurant right here in London. The collaborative menu can be expected to feature a fair amount of pork, while also featuring Cagali's impressive, Brazilian-accented approach to fine dining, celebrating the chefs' shared heritage.

Tickets are £250 including a glass of champagne, and can be purchased by booking a table on 19 July
