After the success of last year's event which raised over £10,000 in 2.5 hours, #BakeForUkraine is back at Toklas bakery, just over a year after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Over the past 12 months, the #CookForUkraine and #BakeForUkraine campaigns have collectively raised over £2 million for charities that directly support those impacted by the war.

Hosted by Clerkenwell Boy, Olia Hercules and Alissa Timoshkina, the bake sale will see the likes of Ottolenghi, St. John, Brat, Claridges and The Hummingbird Bakery, among others, providing one-off products and signature treats to sell on the day. Tea, coffee, juice and beer will be able to purchase, alongside vodka from Ukrainian-made Dima's Vodka. 100% of profits from #BakeForUkraine will be donated to the Legacy of War Foundation, an international charity providing support to civilians affected by conflict.

Of the event, Olia Hercules and Alissa Timoshkina say “While we are deeply heartbroken to reach a one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine, it is also important to celebrate this courageous and resilient country and to express our gratitude for the incredible support our campaign has had over the year! A sense of community and togetherness is something that makes Ukraine invincible and I hope this spirit will be reflected in our charity event, with so many brilliant bakers and chefs coming together once more to raise the much-needed funds!”

The #BakeForUkraine bake will run from 10am - 1pm (or until sell out) on Saturday 4th March at Toklas Restaurant.
