Always been impressed by the swift skill exhibited by the fellas at the deli who sort you out with your wafer thin slices of cured meat? We know that we've been hypnotised by those ham masters on more than once occasion. Which is why this event, where the world's top Ibérico carvers will be going head-to-head for the crown of world champion, seems so appealing.

Join London legends Brindisa in celebrating the craft and culture of ham carving; witnessing five chosen finalists compete directly against one another before one immensely lucky (or should that be immensely skilled?) contestant is crowned the winner of the prestigious art of 'tallado'. Those five expert ham carvers from all over the world will do battle to be crowned UK Ibérico Ham Carving Champion, judged by Jose-Manuel Hidalgo, a former champion carver of Spain.

A range of complimentary pintxos – inspired by the region of Extremadura where the iconic Ibérico pigs roam free – will be available alongside delicately carved Ibérico meat served by Brindisa Kitchens throughout the evening. You''l even get the chance to have a go at carving yourself. All accompanied by Estrella Galicia's award-winning draught beer as well as a selection of bottles. Because God knows watching all that carving is going to whet your appetite and your thirst. Estrella Galicia will also be hosting a master class on how to pour the perfect beer, which you'll also get to try your hand at, plus there'll be plenty of sherry flowing from Hidalgo. This is an event for the real cured meat heads out there.
