Fish fans should get ready for an absolutely swimming meal: Jamie Lee, head chef of Kødbyens Fiskebar in Copenhagen, will be hostinga pop-up lunch and dinner at Ekte Nordic Kitchen in the Bloomberg Arcade in London on Saturday, 18 January 2020.
The team from Copenhagen – including Kødbyens Fiskebar founder Anders Selmer and head pastry chef Søren Scheel – will produce a Nordic multi-course tasting menu at lunch (£50 for four courses) and dinner (£65 for five courses), including coffee and petit fours, with a paired drinks option.
The tasting menus will feature several Fiskebar signature dishes, such as:
- Brill – smoked mussel, seaweed, burnt onion and rye
- Squid – lemon verbena, kohlrabi and chicken wing
- Horse mussel – pine, parsley and tomato skin
- Cod – lovage and ling liver
- Salsify – citrus and hempseed
Opened in Copenhagen's Kødby in 2009, and awarded a Bib Gourmand not long after, Kødbyens Fiskebar concentrates on fresh and sustainable fish, seafood and greens, 'pure' wines, and a wide range of contemporary cocktails. British-born Jamie Lee joined the restaurant in 2011 and became head chef in 2013. Scandinavian fish and seafood informs his distinctive seasonal menus.
