Celebrate Ferragosto at Michelin-starred Luca

Celebrated on the 15th August, Ferragosto is the Italian holiday that traditionally marks the beginning of the country's summer break. City-siders flock to lakes and beaches, gathering over long, well-watered feasts or simply soaking up the high summer sun. It is as day that perhaps best distills la dolce vita. 

Luca are bringing a slice of that sweet life to Clerkenwell with their Ferragosto menu which is running for the month of August. Celebrating the very best of the summer produce from Italy and the UK, the menu will bring the Mediterranean heat, even if the British Summer Time weather stays as grey as it has been. Sitting amongst the greenery on Luca's bucolic terrace (covered, thankfully, given the recent bout of wet weather), you may just find yourself slipping into holiday mode, just without the stress of a Ryanair flight. 

Head chef Robert Chambers has pulled together a selection of dishes that take inspiration from from Italy's coastal regions, so expect juicy tomatoes, luminous pesto, bright bursts of citrus and, of course, copious spritzes to wash everything down. It's the perfect escape from reality. 

The Ferragosto menu at Luca will be available from 1st - 26th August on the restaurant’s terrace and in the main dining room. The menu will be priced at £85 per person, and bookings can be made here.
