Event Details
If ever there were a dinner worthy of a culinary pilgrimage, this is it. On Friday 5 December 2025, The Waterside Inn in Bray will host a one-night-only celebration of gastronomic legacy as chef-patron Alain Roux invites his cousin, Michel Roux Jr, to join him in the kitchen for an evening that promises to be nothing short of historic. Not only is this a rare opportunity to see two titans of the Roux dynasty cook side by side, it also marks the final celebration of The Waterside Inn’s 40th consecutive year holding three Michelin stars – an achievement unmatched in UK hospitality.
Guests will be treated to an indulgent six-course menu that pays homage to the Roux family’s extraordinary influence on modern dining. Expect dishes that balance classic French technique with refined elegance, underpinned by decades of shared culinary DNA. To elevate the night even further, legendary Parisian pâtissier Pierre Hermé will be flying in to create a show-stopping dessert course worthy of the Roux name – and likely to be talked about long after the last spoonful.
Alongside the food, guests will enjoy Grand Cru Classé wine pairings selected to match and elevate each course. As you’d expect at The Waterside Inn, service will be polished, warm and rooted in the hospitality standards the Roux name is known for.
Tickets are priced at £1,985 per person – a price which reflects the year that The Waterside Inn was first awarded Three Michelin Stars and a discretionary £900 from each ticket will be shared equally between Hospitality Action and Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation.
