There’s no better way to cure the winter blues than a trip to SUSHISAMBA’S annual Carnaval Weekender. Dust off your sequin leotard and get ready for an outrageous 4 day long affair from Thursday, February 16th to Sunday, February 19th, held at both London locations in Covent Garden and Heron Tower. There’s going to be tableside caipirinha carts, three epic Casa de Samba Bloco parties and a lot of free-spirited revelry.

To mark Rio Carnaval and its legendary Bloco street parties, SUSHISAMBA Carnaval is back and bigger than ever with its iconic annual carnaval celebration. It’s a weekend long party full of energetic performances, back-to-back live samba entertainment, fabulous costumes and of course an extravagant specially-themed menu. Expect to fuel your dancing with SUSHISAMBA specials designed exclusively for the party, including arroz carreteiro, carnaval chirashi and even mini Brazilian doughnuts. Not to forget the classic, kiwi and passionfruit caipirinhas which will be served all night long.


On Saturday things are going to heat up, as it sees Sushi Samba’s Baile da Arara costume party encouraging guests to unleash their inner ‘Carmen Miranda’ and create their very own Brazilian-inspired look; from flashy feathers, to bold tropical prints and dazzling sequins guests are invited to channel their inner carnaval creatures. Baile da Arara sees guests dance into the darkness of the night alongside flash mob dancers, live Brazilian musicians, and special guest DJs.

Drawing to a fantastic finale, the last day of SUSHISAMBA’s Carnaval Weekender concludes with a laid back Bossa Nova Brunch on Sunday 19th February, featuring the restaurant’s signature a la carte menu alongside some special carnaval dishes and live music.
