Now that the 2019 shortlist has officially been announced, we'd say it's fairly safe to say that this year's Winterbotham Darby Food Film Shorts competition looks set to be the fiercest. With a selection of ace food film shorts spanning from just a few seconds to three minutes long, each film is capable of making you hungry, making you think, making you smile, or simply just captivating you. Cooking is an art form in of itself and it's inspiring to see such a large number of films that take that creativity and ramp it up to the next level.

This year's line-up is filled with shorts that all bring something fresh, new and exciting to the table. All the final films will be shown in the Mall Galleries, London throughout the annual Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year exhibition and seen by thousands of press, peers and public.

The overall winner of the Winterbotham Darby Food Film Shorts category will be announced at the Awards Evening Reception on 30 April 2019 and receive £1,000 in prize money.
