You'd expect a graphic designer-turned-fashion maverick to have a close eye and a steady hand. That's exactly what Rory Harker possesses. As co-founder and creative director of Billy Tannery – which makes luxury leather goods from kid goat leather, and also sets out to write some wrongs inherent in the goat meat trade in the process – he brings a sense of cool collectedness to his business.
"Billy Tannery is purely based on the discovery that there's this a fantastic raw material that is currently going to waste," he says in his video, "and we can have the opportunity to make something beautiful from it."
Rory's cocktail

Rory's personality is mirrored in his bespoke cocktail, a manhattan-style serve made with Diplomático's charcoal-filtered Planas rum, created by Matt Whiley, founder of Peg + Patriot and Scout. It also makes use of vermouth enhanced by Castoreum, a vegetarian compound used in foods and perfumes that imparts a nutty, woody character reminiscent of – yep – leather.
