Throw together 16 Michelin stars, 20 top chefs, 200 lucky diners and a philanthropic cause: the annual Leuka charity event has developed a dinner recipe that's enough to make even the most seasoned food lover jump over themselves for a ticket.
Now in its 17th year, 'Who's Cooking Dinner?' will take over the kitchens at Park Lane's Four Seasons Hotel, bringing 20 lucky chefs together for one night only to cook for 200 guests.
There's an unexpected twist: the evening begins with a draw during which diners find out which chef is cooking for which table – which means you could find yourself having dinner cooked for you by anyone from Ashley Palmer-Watts of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal to Clare Smyth, previously of Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, and Nathan Outlaw.
And it's for an extremely worthy cause, too, as the money raised will go to Leuka, a charity supporting research into the causes and treatment of leukaemia and blood cancer. The event has raised £5,630,601 to date.
The evening's drinks will be expertly mixed by Rich Woods of Duck & Waffle and Sushisamba, and, this year, renowned Beatles artists Peter Blake has created a bespoke piece of artwork for the auction.
All this comes at a price, though: a table for ten will set you back £7,000 – and, in this case, we'd say it's worth it.
