Festival.

From interactive workshops to specialist masterclasses, garden games to DJ sets – and lots of Loire Valley Wine along the way – the festival marks the start of summer 2023, which is sure to be sound-tracked by the wonderful range of Loire Valley Wines that you’ll discover thanks to the Bloom Big! Festival.

The Loire Valley is truly diverse in the range of wine that it offers, which is why this free-to-attend festival is opening the doors to this region from the heart of the city. Wine lists can often cause a feeling of dread when it comes to making your selection from the sea of choices in front of you, but the team from Loire Valley Wines will be offering masterclasses during the festival to help break down often lengthy wine names and get to the heart of what it is that you actually like – and therefore what will be a sure-fire hit, minus the headache.

If you’re just along for the summer vibes and have had enough learning for one week, there will also be lifestyle workshops open to participants which embody the laidback, charming personality of this region. Whether it’s Terrarium making with the Botanical Boys, or upcycling Loire Valley Wine bottles into scented candles, there’s plenty of things on offer which will continue this little slice of heaven into your own homes.

When all is said and done, however, the main event of this festival is the fantastic range of wines that are produced by this spectacular region. 12:30: Masterclass – The Loire Valley sustainable vineyards

Let Loire Valley Wines guide you through the different sustainable winemaking labels and practices in the Loire Valley, to help pick your wine consciously.

13:00: Workshop – Paper Flower Crown with Pom Pom Factory

In this workshop you will learn how to adorn your hair with an intricately made flower-crown – which is also child-friendly.

14:00: Masterclass – Wine exploration: find your ideal wine with Loire Valley wine

Through this masterclass, you will discover the different wine styles, grape varieties and ideal food pairings among the huge diversity of Loire Valley Wines..

Make your very own self-sustaining indoor garden.

15:30: Masterclass - Introduction to wine tasting with Loire Valley wines

Learn how to taste wine like an expert - the right glass, how to smell and taste, what to eat … you’ll be a pro by your next dinner party.

16:00: Workshop - Upcycled Candle-making Workshop

Make your own scented candles out of upcycled Loire Valley Wine bottles.
