There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to making your own granola, so don't be afraid to experiment with tastes and textures.

Ingredients
For the granola
- 280g oats
- 170g honey
- 2tsp vegetable oil
- 55g sunflower seeds
- 30g pumpkin seeds
- 55g cashews
- 40g flaked almonds
- 1tbsp chia seeds
To top
- 20 pitted dates, chopped
- 85g raisins
- 40g walnut pieces
- 30g stem ginger, chopped
- 30g dried cranberries
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180c.
- In a large bowl, mix all of the base ingredients together until fully combined.
- Place on a baking tray and cook for 15 – 20 minutes until crisp or golden brown. Set aside and leave to cool.
- Once the base has fully cooled, add any additional ingredients.
- Store in an airtight jar or container and enjoy with cold milk, yoghurt or fresh fruit to kick start your day.
