For a drink that's inspired by the leading principle of William of Ockham (Occam's Razor – we won't get into the details, let's just say philosophy is a bit beyond our remit), this is one hell of a modern-tasting serve. Just like the rest of The Natural Philosopher's drinks list, in fact, which is often inspired by philosophers and their principles, funnily enough. This cocktail has a smoked hint of pineapple and sage sugar syrup which work together to produce a savoury and sweet combination.
