Known worldwide as Sin City, Las Vegas is really a place where anything can happen. People can go from a risqué burlesque show, to a family friendly magic performance, to a night of rowdy partying in some of America’s best clubs, and finally, to a rambunctious casino, all within the span of a single day. Some visitors will have their fill of adventure after their stay, but some might find an appetite for gambling.
The good news is that Las Vegas is no longer the only place where players can access the best casino games. With the incredible success of online casinos, one time Sin City visitors can continue playing their favorite slots or table games from their own houses. But, as we said, gambling is not all that there is to do is Las Vegas.
After a day of exploring one of the most exciting cities in the United States of America, everyone would naturally work up quite the appetite. If you ever find yourself in Sin City, there are certain places that you simply have to check out. Not just performances or entertainment spots, but also restaurants, pubs, and even classic street food.
Primal Steakhouse
The Maryland Parkway is a vital corridor in the Valley, connecting the Medical District to the South Strip Transit Terminal. Along the stretch, you will pass by the Siegfried and Roy Park, the Cash Hills Recording Studio, a few art galleries, tarot/palm reading places, and incredible retail stores, selling top of the line clothing at varying prices. But, none of these attractions will matter for those walking on a hungry stomach. Their destination is the Primal Steakhouse.
Steak is every bit as American as apple pie, and the Primal Steakhouse knows how to cook a mean steak for anyone interested in trying classic, American cuisine. The restaurant has accumulated a number of positive reviews by land-based food critics, and online portals alike, and is often ranked among one of Sin City’s top restaurants. Despite the name, steak is not all they serve. In fact, they have a diverse menu, even offering gluten-free options.
However, the success of the Primal Steakhouse has resulted in one of its biggest cons; it is quite pricey. If money is not a concern, you can’t do much better than this place. However, if you are visiting Las Vegas on a budget, then the Primal Steakhouse is one to avoid. While the meal may be worth the high-price, it is certainly not for everybody.
Weera Thai Kitchen
Thai cuisine has been getting a lot of traction recently, particularly in America. Of course, the classic Pad Thai dish is now ranked among the most popular “take out” meals in the country. But, there is so much more to Thai food than just the Pad Thai, as delicious as it might be. For those who want to explore Thai food at a reasonable price, the Weera Thai Kitchen is an excellent, street food/casual restaurant, serving some delectable dishes.
It can get quite hot in Sin City, so the restaurant offers cold beer to any visitors who might want to cool down. You can stick to what you know, or, in the spirit of Vegas, you can take a risk, and try some of their imported Thai beers, which might challenge your palette. The best part though, is that the Weera Thai Kitchen makes deliveries all over the Strip. They offer a 30-minute delivery within a 3-4-mile radius.
For those with dietary restrictions, the Weera Thai Kitchen does have a pretty diverse menu, with a ton of vegetarian-friendly option. It is also a late-night restaurant, so if you find yourself walking the Strip after a night of partying, you might stumble upon the Thai Kitchen on a hungry stomach.
Eggscellent
If you are looking for an excellent breakfast, lunch, or brunch spot in Las Vegas, then look no further; Eggscellent is the answer to your needs. Rated as one of the top-tier brunch places in Sin City, Eggscellent has gotten consistent praise by chefs, critics, and everyday customers alike. Not only have they received positive reviews for their dishes, which are always fulfilling and delicious, but also the wait staff. Their employees are warm, friendly, and always willing to accommodate.
The restaurant’s menu is the most diverse yet, with options for people with all sorts of dietary restrictions. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free, the menu has something for you. On top of that Eggscellent accepts digital payments and credit cards, as they are attempting to keep with the times. The thing to remember though, is that they are a breakfast, lunch, or brunch spot, so they operate between the hours of 11:00 – 3:00.
The best part about Eggscellent is that you get delicious food at a very reasonable price. You won’t find overly expensive deserts, or complex egg-based dishes that will set you back an entire fortune. This is a restaurant for people who’ve built up an appetite after a night of partying, but also need to keep a tight wallet. It is perfect for anyone who is visiting Las Vegas to gamble.
Oming’s Kitchen
Speaking of reasonable prices, our final spotlight is on Oming’s Kitchen, a Filipino street food shop, that serves some of the most delicious meals you will ever imagine. Located on Blue Diamond Road, some might have to drive for a bit to reach this place. But, those that embark on the journey will not regret it. The garlic rice and pork belly here are known throughout Las Vegas, and the service is absolutely top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to please the customer.
As we said, the prices are quite reasonable. But, for the portions and the taste, you might even say they are a steal. So, if you have a taste for Asian fusion, and are looking for a great street food place, with excellent prices, then Oming’s Kitchen ought to be your first choice.
