Festive crackers are an essential part of Christmas dinner, but, despite historical precedent, they don’t actually have to be filled with terrible jokes and plastic yo-yos. Pioneering English winemakers The Uncommon have introduced their own Christmas crackers, swapping out the usual filler for something you actually want.

Foodism has teamed up with The Uncommon to offer a lucky reader the chance to win a set of its new limited edition Christmas crackers, as well as two cases of their award-winning English wine. Created in partnership with craft British chocolatier Diggle Chocolates, the set of six crackers is handmade in Dorset and each filled with:

  • A can of The Uncommon’s award-winning English sparkling wine
  • Two handmade truffles from Diggle Chocolates
  • And a paper hat and witty Uncommon joke (some things are sacred)

That’s it. No tat or waste, and wine in a cracker will turn pulling into something approaching actual competitive sport. These crackers are perfect for both the foodie host, the eco-conscious entertainer, and those who want to make this Christmas just a little more memorable.

The winner will also receive two cases of The Uncommon’s award-winning English wines, which includes 12 x 250ml cans of bubbly white, and 12x250ml cans of bubbly rosé. Born on the North Kent Downs, these wines are overflowing with local character.

 Total value: £200
