While we all know well enough that a lack of a Michelin star doesn't indicate a lack of quality, you can be pretty certain the presence of a Michelin star does indicate top-notch food, drink and service. The latest round of stars was announced at a ceremony in Dublin last night, with a total of 11 restaurants gaining a star. Nine claimed their first, while two spots jumped straight up to two stars. Read on for the full list.
New two-Michelin-starred restaurants in London for 2026
Row on 5
5 Savile Row, London W1S 3PB
Superstar chef Jason Atherton lost his Michelin star when Pollen Street Social closed in 2024, but it hasn't taken long for his latest London venture to make up for it. Now awarded its second star, the Savile Row spot is run by former Ritz chef Spencer Metzger.
Bonheur by Matt Abé
43 Upper Brook Street, London W1K 7QR
Bonheur by Matt Abé
When Gordon Ramsay's protége went out on his own, you'd be safe to assume stars would soon follow, with Abé having helmed the three-starred flagship. And they have, securing a two stars less than a year after opening. Situated in the former site of The Gavroche, the incumbent has carried on the star-studded legacy.
New one-Michelin-starred restaurants in London for 2026
Legado
1 Montacute Yards, 185-186 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6HU
The second restaurant from Nieves Barragan, who also secured a star with Sabor. With a large, open-plan kitchen, a killer snack menu and extensive all-Spanish wine list, it has emerged as one of London's most exciting Spanish restaurants in the short time since opening, and another star for the JKS group.
Tom Brown at the Capital
The Capital, 22-24 Basil St, SW3 1AT
Another new star, more restoration than new, Tom Brown reclaims the accolade he lost when he closed his Hackney restaurant. The seafood-forward menu combines ultra-premium ingredients with a signature visual flair, all situated in a grand dining room at The Capital.
Ambassadors Clubhouse
25 Heddon Street, W1B 4BQ
The JKS hot streak shows no sign of stopping, with The Ambassadors Clubhouse joining Legado as a new awardee. It now has three Michelin-starred Indian restaurants on its books, after Gymkhana and Trishna, and this new star is perfectly timed, with its first New York restaurant – also named The Ambassadors Clubhouse – set to open this month.
Corenucopia
18-22 Holbein Place, SW1W 8NL
Clare Smyth holds three stars with CORE, so this one had Michelin-recognition written all over it from the start. Think elevated British classics – there's a fish and chips on the menu, albeit made with Dover sole and lobster mousse.
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High
22 Bishopsgate, EC2N 4BQ
Restaurant High Gordon Ramsay
There aren't many milestones left for Gordon Ramsay in the culinary world, so he has to try new ways to get his kicks – like opening the highest restaurant in Europe in a Bishopsgate skyscraper. Actually, there are four, but it's the eponymous chef's table on the 60th floor that has earned a star.
Labombe by Trivet
19 Old Park Ln, W1K 1LB
A sister restaurant to the two-starred Trivet, Labombe features one of the more impressive wine lists of any recent opening, alongside a grill-focused menu and a buzzy atmosphere that brings a fresh breath of air to the Mayfair dining scene.
The Kerfield Arms
16 Grove Lane, SE5 8SY
The Kerfield Arms
As if we needed any more ammunition for the claim that London's best food can now be found in pubs, even Michelin is in agreement now. This South London spot is a certified neighbourhood pub that also happens to serve some of the city's most outstanding dishes, like salt-marsh lamb loin with romero peppers and a pastilla of slow-cooked shoulder meat.
Somssi by Jihun Kim
22 Hanover Square, W1S 1JP
No longer merely for the jet-lagged, tasteless and willing overspenders, hotel restaurants are actually good now. Especially when they're like Somssi, which sits in an exclusive backroom in the Mandarin Oriental at a 14-seat counter, where a team of chefs craft immaculate Korean dishes in front of you.
Michael Caines at the Stafford
16-18 St James's Pl, London SW1A 1NJ
What did I say about hotel restaurants? Another has also secured a star in the latest round of Michelin, this time at The Stafford in Michael Caines' eponymous opening. There's a solid throughline from Caines' Lympstone Manor (also Michelin-starred) in what is the chef's first London restaurant, which celebrates all things British, from produce to style.
