Maltby Street x Tozino Calçotadal Spring Party

To mark the end of Calçot season and the start of long-awaited Spring, Maltby Street's resident Bodega, Tozino's is throwing a bit of an allium bash. Maltby Street Market will open its gates for the first of 2019's Friday night events, inviting you to celebrate Spring with some serious eats. In keeping with Catalonian Calçotada tradition, Bar Tozino will bombard Maltby Street Market's historic railway arches with wood-fired grills piled high with calçots and grilled meats. As if that wasn't enough there'll be vermouth, jamón ibérico carving and live flamenco guitar music.
London Hot Sauce Festival

Things will be heating up in Copeland Park from 11am to 11pm on 13 April as the Hot Sauce Society delivers London's first ever festival dedicated to the dangerously spicy condiment. Over 30 of the UK's best artisan hot sauce makers are going to be peppering the park, giving you ample opportunity to get your hands on some of the most unique sauces that pack a serious punch. It's also massively free. Which is always a bonus in our books.
Easter Chocolate Market at Duke of York Square

Alright, chocoholics, we need you to keep calm. You hear that? We want you to be really, really calm right now because you're going to read a sentence that is going to make you very, very excited. Alright. Ready? Here it goes: Duke of York Square is hosting an Easter chocolate market on 13 April. The weekly food market will see London's finest chocolatiers descend on the Square between 10am – 4pm for hours of chocolatey goodness. A selection of special artisan chocolate market stalls including Sir Hans Sloane Chocolate, Susie Keane, Diana David, Lavolio and many more will all be attendance alongside the market's usual host of local champions.
Record Store Day at Pop Brixton

Container Records is hosting a site-wide takeover of Pop Brixton in honour of Record Store Day. Find some grailed vinyls at the independent record label market, nick nacks at the craft fair, and dirty stinking bangers thanks to the event's ace DJ line-up. Keep your dancing energies up with street food and beautiful Bhangra burgers from Baba G's.

Us Brits love our tea, don't we? So, how about you show your loved ones just how much you love the brew by taking them to FesTeaVal – an entire festival dedicated to the stuff. You'll be able to challenge your taste buds in a blind tea tasting and discover how tea is grown in a 'Virtual Reali-Tea' experience. C'mon, with a pun like that, how can you say no? Tell coffee you've got other plans and head to the Tobacco Docks for a slightly-less caffeinated weekend. Ten percent from all event tickets sold also goes directly to the festival's charity partner Mind.
An evening with Patricia Michelson and Ravinder Bhogal at Jikoni

As the first event Jikoni and La Fromagerie's 'Civilised Sunday' speaker series, La Fromagerie founder Patricia Michelson will be gracing the Marylebone restaurant with her produce-forward presence. The series involves different speakers coming to Jikoni on a monthly basis to discuss their careers and contribute to the meal. Seasonal produce from Romana artichokes to Tarocco Oranges will be given the Jikoni treatment over a delicious six courses. Expect tasty chatter and delicious dishes such as: Keralan crab stuffed courgette flower with sorrel and coconut chutney; daal with wild garlic puree and paratha; Blythburg Farm pork and cipolle rosse campobasco.
Petersham Nurseries Pasta Masterclass

Using the freshest ingredients, this pasta workshop is an introduction to making top shelf tagliatelle. In this interactive class, you'll learn traditional dough recipes and a range of pasta shapes including: ravioli, garganelli and tagliatelle, and a number of simple Italian sauces to drench them in. Made using organic eggs from Petersham's sister business, Haye Farm, the rich yolks transform the colour of the pasta. At the end of the workshop, you will take home your freshly made haul as well as some pasta flour, Haye Farm eggs and a homemade tomato sauce to enjoy at home.

If you fancy sipping on some rum-infused cocktails with some real spicy food, then get on down to Rudie's in Dalston this weekend. Running from 12-4pm every Saturday and Sunday, the rum punch brunch offer allows you to get one of Rudie's delicious main dishes (including a hearty 'Full Jamaican' of ackee & saltfish, lamb sausages, baked butter beans, sautéed spinach, boiled green banana and bakes) as well as access to bottomless rum punch for an hour and a half. Never will you ever feel forlorn on Sunday afternoons again, because, starting from 17 February, Margot Henderson and Melanie Arnold will be on hand with pints and pastry to save the day. All you have to do is get on down to the Rochelle Canteen ICA where the two chefs will be running a series of Sunday evening 'Pie and a Pint' dining menus. An excellent pie and a pint (or a glass of house wine) for £10? Monday morning doesn't seem too bad after all.
