Just like M. Night Shyamalan, we at Foodism love a twist. In this case, it's a whisky sour

But what's the twist, you ask? No, it can't see dead people. The twist is the signature flavour profile of Japanese whisky – in this case Suntory Hakushu – and the sour notes of the in-vogue matcha tea, with a splash of yuzu juice for sharpness. All in all, a nice take on a classic.

  • 50ml Hakushu 12 Year Old
  • 20ml yuzu juice
  • 5g Matcha tea
  • 20ml sugar syrup
  • Egg white

Mix the Matcha tea with the Hakushu, making sure all the matcha is dissolved. Add the remaining ingredients, shake hard and serve straight up with a lemon peel garnish.
