Let's face it – 2020 has been a scary enough year to put both Halloween and the Mexican festival of Día de Muertos to shame. But if you haven't got your fill of fright, you're a glutton for punishment or you just fancy something to take your mind off it, hanging some decorations and getting into the spirit of things might be a nice way to celebrate the last weekend in October.

If it's Día de Muertos you're into, we've got just the cocktail for you. Using Patrón's unaged – or 'blanco' – tequila, it's the kind of long drink that'll make sure you're well equipped for whatever the evening brings. Check out the recipe below.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Patrón Silver
  • 150ml ginger beer
  • Crème de cassis, to top
  • Cubed ice
  • Lime wedge, to garnish

Method

  1. Add Patrón Silver to a tall glass filled with ice.
  2. Top with ginger beer.
  3. Pour over a touch of crème de cassis.
  4. Garnish with lime wedge and serve.
